World number two Rafael Nadal was surprisingly beaten by the unseeded Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the semi-finals of the Australian Open.
Tsonga, who played some brilliant tennis, won the match 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 in the relatively short of 117 minutes. Up until this point, Nadal had not dropped a set.
