Shortly before 04:30 on Sunday morning, residents in the normally quiet urbanisation Pinares de Las Chapas in Marbella were woken by loud screams coming from number 3 calle Alcornoque.
In what appears to be a growing and disturbing trend, yet another couple were attempting to settle their domestic disputes or problems with some finality. In this case, a 60 year old man stabbed his long-time sentimental partner eleven times, one of the wounds puncturing her lung. She is now in the Costa del Sol hospital where her condition is said to be serious.
The man, who tried to stab himself after attacking his partner, was also admitted to hospital with a wound to the lung. He left the intensive care unit in the afternoon and is now under guard by Local Police officers and will be charged with attempted murder once he recovers sufficiently….
