The hotel Prasa in Estepona is on its way down, literally, as work begins to demolish the building located next to the Playa de la Rada. The work is being carried out by the company TRAGSA and will take about two months, costing in the region of €1.2 million in the process.
The building is a legacy from the ‘Gil’ regime and the whole project started in 1996 and included a ‘modification’ to the existing PGOU. The actual building of the hotel began in 1999 but was stopped in 2003 when it was discovered that it was not exactly legal and did not conform to city planning regulations.
