A woman in Guadalajara who was stabbed several times by her partner has died in hospital from her wounds. She was 44 years old.
The stabbing took place yesterday morning at the couple’s home in the centre of Guadalajara. The woman’s son, aged 17 years, also suffered injuries as he tried to protect his mother. He was treated for cuts to the hand and, after receiving several stitches, was discharged.
The attacker, the woman’s partner, fled the scene after the incident and was then chased by the police. The chase ended when the man threw himself off a bridge over the A-2 Aragon highway. He was subsequently hit by a lorry and died on the spot.
