In La Liga, a lacklustre Barcelona earned a 1-1 draw against an uninspired Sevilla. Xavi was the saviour for Barca after Diego Capel had put Sevilla ahead.
An injury time strike from Diego Capel gave Villarreal victory away to Murcia and Deportivo shared the points in a 1-1 draw with Getafe.
