Spain’s Javier Bardem has picked up another gong for his portrayal of an assassin in the Coen Brother’s film ‘No Country For Old Men’, winning Best Supporting Actor at the BAFTA awards ceremony.
Bardem has already won a Golden Globe and a New York Film Critics award for his portrayal of Anton Chigurh, serial killer and assassin, and now heads for the all important Oscars at the end of this month.
After a couple of major flops, the Coen brothers have bounced right back to the top with ‘No Country for Old Men’, a classy film to rival the likes of ‘Fargo’. It is a riveting film with just about everything in it, including some nice touches of humour. Well worth a watch.
