AS Roma came from a goal down to beat Real Madrid 2-1 in the first leg of their second round Champions League match last night.
Raúl put Real Madrid ahead after only eight minutes, diverting a weak shot from Guti past the Roma keeper. They had several chances to increase their lead, but Roma hung on and goals from David Pizarro and Alessandro Mancini gave them victory.
Still all to play for and Real do at least have that ‘away goal’ in the bag.
