The up and down weather situation caused the cancellation yesterday of ferries between Algeciras and Ceuta.
The high-speed ferries had been able to venture out in the early morning but then 80 kph winds and two and a half metre high waves soon put a stop to that. More than 140 round trips have had to be cancelled in the past couple of weeks due to the inclemency of the weather in the Straits of Gibraltar, only the slow-speed, conventional Acciona Trasmediterránea ferry has been operating.
