The Guardia Civil in Almería have arrested four elderly Algerians who arrived by boat at a cove on the Isla Negra de Pulpi, Almería. That brings the total number of illegal immigrants detained in Almería since Tuesday to twenty-eight.
On Tuesday, nine Algerians were detained at a place known as Río Agua de Mojácar after reaching the coast in a small boat.
Yesterday morning, ten Algerians were detained after coming ashore at Playa de los Genoveses, Nijar, and another five were captured on playa Galera, Carboneras. Red Cross volunteers were on hand with hot drinks, water, dry clothing and a supply of shoes.
So, that’s another twenty-eight in total, all apparently of Algerian nationality.
