The authorities were kept busy in the early hours of this morning by a small fleet of boats carrying illegal immigrants from North Africa.
The first boat arrived at El Roqueo beach, Barbate, just after midnight. It was carrying seven Moroccans, one of whom had to be arrested after he decided to attack a Guardia Civil officer.
The second boat arrived on playa de la Hierbabuena, Barbate, at around 02:45 with eleven men and two women on board, none of whom decided to take a pop at an officer of the law.
A third boat was spotted by the SIVE surveillance system at 05:45 this morning and was intercepted about 4 miles south of Tarifa. The eight passengers included two minors.
