Work on the new tourist office in Nerja is due to start before Easter and last for two months.
The new tourist office, to be located in the the Town hall building and occupying the space formerly used as the ‘sale de arte’, should start to take shape just before Easter as the company Procoasa Nerja S.L. begins the refurbishing of the 97 square metre office.
The budget for the project is €30,844,63, with 60% being financed by the Junta de Andalucía as a grant for infrastructure relating to tourism. The work is scheduled to be completed in two months which means, in theory at least, it will be ready for the summer onslaught.
The main entrance to the new tourist office will be via steps, but a second, side entrance is also to be added to enable easier access for the disabled and less mobile.
