Internal Affairs investigation continues

The Internal Affairs Unit investigating the alleged involvement of four high ranking police officers in various ‘irregularities’ has been raiding homes and offices in search of evidence.

The investigation began two years ago and led to the arrest of a Chief Inspector and three Inspectors assigned to the UDYCO (drugs and organised crime) section of the National Police. Also detained were a French interpreter and a cosmetic surgeon in Marbella.

Various police offices have been raided and copious amounts of paperwork, computers and the weapons assigned to the officers have been confiscated. The home of the Chief Inspector has also been raided and his computer has been taken away for analysis.
