Two boatloads of illegal immigrants arrived in Spanish waters yesterday, one in Tarifa and one in the Canary Islands.
The Guardia Civil in Tarifa intercepted a boat carrying 27 illegal immigrants, all of them Moroccan nationals, about 1.5 miles off Los Lances beach. All are adults and no-one on board was in need of medical assistance.
Las Americas beach in the Canaries was the scene of the arrival of a cayuco carrying a total of 57 would-be immigrants of the illegal variety.
