There were two bank robberies within five minutes of each other in Málaga city, one in Camino de Suárez and the other in calle Frigiliana.
The first robbery took place at the Unicaja bank in Camino de Suárez at 09:50. A man, wearing sunglasses and a wig, rushed into the bank waving a gun. He handed the teller a plastic bag and once it was filled with cash he made his getaway. He was last seen heading towards avenida Valle Inclán, on foot. The robber is thought to be about 40 years old.
The second robbery was at the Banesto bank in calle Frigiliana. At 09:50, two men, one of them wearing a blue wig, burst into the bank brandishing sawn-off shotguns. However, it was not their lucky day as their haul was around €40 plus a handbag! This upset the robbers and they became violent, causing an injury to one person which required hospital treatment. The two men made their getaway on a moped.
Wig sellers have obviously been doing good trade.
