The storms yesterday, which moved along the coast from Málaga to Granada, left a trail of damage throughout the province.
In Caleta de Vélez, the rains combined with a high tide left many frontline homes flooded and in Torre del Mar, some thirty cars were left stranded in the paseo marítimo de Poniente car park. In the centre, calle Laureano Casquero and calle Doña Lola suffered flooding.
In Algorrobo, the main problems occurred on the roads and in the houses around calle Real.
In El Palo, hailstorms disrupted traffic on the A-7 and also overloaded the sewage system in the area. Fuengirola also suffered, with bars and car parks flooded, particularly in avenida de Mijas and the port area.
