{column1}The Tuesday Market in Nerja was not held today due to a strike by stallholders in protest at the proposed moving of the weekly market from its current central location to a new site in Almijara, referred to by market traders as ‘the end of the world’. The proposed move, delayed and delayed for a couple of years now, could theoretically take place in about four to six weeks. Or not.
This morning, starting from the Balcón de Europa, a small protest march took place which was organised by those in favour of maintaining the current site.{/column1}{column2}
