A fire in the early hours of this morning in the village of Las Torres, Jerez de la Frontera, necessitated the evacuation of seventy residents as a precautionary measure.
The fire started at 06:25 in the ground floor kitchen of a ten-storey apartment block in Plaza de la Solera and caused much material damage but no casualties. The blaze was extinguished by 07:00 and the residents of the block were then permitted to return to their homes.
