Barcelona survived a lot of second half pressure from Schalke 04 in their Champions League quarter-final first-leg tie in Germany after 17 year old Bojan Krkic put them ahead. Schalke had several scoring chances but failed to take any of them as Barcelona seemed content to sit back and try and defend their one goal lead.
