The Council in Rincón de la Victoria aims to have the avenida de Málaga (La Cala del Moral) building works completed before the summer season starts.
The works are being carried out by the company Trigemer and phase one has been focussed on repairing damaged pavements, the removal of architectural barriers, installing storm water and sewage pipes, renewing street lighting and the the placement of benches, litter bins and garden areas. The area covered is between OAL Delphos and avenida Cerramar.
With over 100 shops on the street, the Council sees completion of the works as a high priority.
Phase two is currently 70% complete and when everything is finished, the area renovated will stretch from the Totalan stream to avenida Manuel Altolaguirre.
