El Capistrano Playa is an area of Nerja where major building works are taking place and many potential visitors have asked about the current state of the project. Report.
The building works in El Capistrano Playa, Nerja, have been ongoing for a very long time. Construction is taking place on both sides of the road into the urbanisation.
Being a large housing project, it is hard not to notice the work going on and entering the urbanisation is a bit like wandering through a building site.
There have been various delays with the project during the past year, even a complete standstill at one stage, but it is now well and truly on the move again.
Work on the site tends to start each day at around 08:00 and, naturally, it can be quite noisy and many local residents have made complaints. Sounds do tend to reverberate through the whole area, particularly machinery such as circular saws or tile/stone cutters. The screech of such tools can be heard quite some distance from the actual works and are very loud at times.
It would have to be said that this would not be the ideal place to choose at the moment for a quiet, relaxing holiday, particularly for those with babies or young children.
