The Provincial Court has acquitted the Archbishop of Granada, overturning a previous conviction by the Criminal Court Number 5 in Granada.Archbishop Martínez was denounced by a local priest for insults, slander, harassment, injury and coercion and became the first Spanish prelate to appear in the dock. He was found guilty of insults and coercion by the Criminal Court and ordered to pay €3,750 in compensation.
The latest ruling by the Provincial Court is firm and irrevocable.
