The Local Police in Nerja have once again cleared the Cueva del Lobo Marino of illegal campers.
The Cueva del Lobo Marino is located at the end of Burriana beach and over the past few weeks had become ‘home’ to around 25 hippies, homeless and travelers. The police removed tents, chairs, mattresses, clothing, cooking facilities and other items from the makeshift community.
Dozens of similar illegal campsites along the Nerja coastline have been regularly dismantled during the past few years. The occupants of these settlements tend to be mostly Eastern European and aged between 20 years and 40 years.
