The cliffs around the village of Maro have apparently been chosen as the location for several scenes of a new movie.
It seems that the cliffs make the ideal backdrop for several scenes in the upcoming local Málaga production of ‘El Tigre’. Scenes being filmed include dialogue inside a car on the N-340, a car chase and a vehicle plunging off the cliffs.
It may seem a little strange to some that, in a heavily environmentally protected area where the building of a footbridge over a highway causes uproar and locals almost require permission to breathe within the natural park, someone is allowed to come along and hurl cars off a cliff. But that’s life.
