The police have made two arrests in connection with the death of a man in a fire at his home in Linares.
When firefighters arrived to extinguish a fire in calle Santiago de Linares on Wednesday, they found the lifeless body of a man inside the building but were not, at the time, certain whether he died before the fire started or as a result of being overcome by smoke and fumes.
The subsequent autopsy has revealed that the deceased had suffered several stab wounds and a blow to the head which may have been the actual cause of death, the fire being a means of erasing traces of any crime. Two men have now been arrested on suspicion of being involved in the death of the man.
