National Police officers have detained fourteen people in connection with the cloning of credit cards.
The detainees, all Bulgarian nationals, formed part of an international network specialising in the cloning of credit cards. The counterfeit cards found in their possession could have yielded up to €3,000,000.
The police also seized a new type of machine, hitherto unknown in Spain, which was placed in ATM’s to read and write the magnetic codes. This small machine is capable of storing thousands of numbers.
