Rafael Nadal secured his ‘Number Two’ ranking after beating Novak Djokovic in Hamburg and now faces Roger Federer in the final.
Nadal took three hours to beat Djokovic, the man who was threatening to overtake him in the world rankings, and had nineteen break points against his serve, 15 of which he managed to save. The final score was 7-5. 2-6, 6-2.
Earlier in the day, defending champion Roger Federer disposed of the world number 43, Italian Andreas Seppi, in a little over an hour, the score 6-3, 6-1.
