Police in Málaga have identified several suspects relating to a shooting in which a woman died but no arrests have so far been made.
The incident occurred on Friday in the La Palma district of the capital, an area which has recently witnessed trouble between rival gangs of youths. An argument was taking place between two or three young people, believed to be members of rival gangs, when one youth pulled a gun and another pulled a knife.
The unfortunate victim was a 32 year old woman on her way home after a shopping expedition who just happened upon the fight.
Although no arrests have so far been made in the case, the police do apparently have a list of suspects and the investigation is said to be ‘advanced’.
This is not the first incident in the area involving firearms carried by local gang members.
