The Nerja Municipal Council for Sports has announced the IX Ruta de la Axarquia, an annual cycling event organised in association with the Balcón de Europa Cycling Club and in honour of Oscar Delgado.
The event takes place on June 22nd and there are prizes in numerous categories, age, gender, first past the post etc.
Registration for the event takes place on the morning of June 22nd at the Hostal La Ermita from 08:00, with the ‘race’ starting at 10:00. Participants get a free commemorative T-shirt and there is paella all round at the end of proceedings. The wearing of safety helmets is compulsory for all participants.
The route is: Nerja – Maro – Nerja – Torrox Costa – Torrox Pueblo – Competa – Sayalonga – Algarrobo – Algarrobo Costa – Lagos – El Morche – Torrox Costa – Nerja.
