The monitoring of the beaches in Fuengirola begins on Sunday 15th with the contract having been awarded to Medios Acuáticos at a cost of €314,314.00.
The company Medios Acuáticos has been awarded the contract to monitor the municipal beaches during the bathing season, June 15th to September 15th, taking over from the Red Cross who have performed this duty for the past few years.
A total of 32 personnel, including doctors, nurses and other qualified staff, will be on duty on the seven municipal beaches from 11:00 until 19:00 each day. One of the stipulations in the contract is that, wherever possible, staff should be natives of Fuengirola.
