The provincial Court in Córdoba has acquitted a Rumanian national accused of prostitution and coercion. The prosecution had been demanding a prison term of 48 years.
The man came to Spain to support his father and to do so he brought in eight Rumanian women and put them to work as prostitutes. The women were under the impression they were coming to Spain to be given ‘proper jobs’. He was accused of eight offences of prostitution and coercion.
