Rafael Ávila Tirado, a San Lucar de Barrameda businessman who was kidnapped on June 3rd 2008, has been found.
Rafael Ávila Tirado was abducted on June 3rd and the kidnappers had been demanding €2 million from his family to ensure his release and their deadline for payment was today.
Police from Sevilla, Cádiz and Madrid participated in the investigation and, this morning, Ávila was located in a chalet in the town of Almonte, Huelva. He was found chained and guarded by two people who have now been taken into custody. Further arrests are not ruled out.
As is usual in such cases, Rafael Ávila Tirado was taken to the local health centre where medical staff will assess any phsical or psychological damage suffered during his sixteen days of captivity.
