Two men accused of sexual abuse have been attacked and injured on their first night in prison.
On Wednesday, two men, aged 58 years and 35 years, were arrested in connection with the alleged sexual abuse of three young girls in a sweetshop in Mangas Verdes. Local residents vented their anger by attacking the sweet shop, causing extensive damage.
On Thursday, the court heard evidence from the accused, witnesses, psychologists and the victims of alleged sexual abuse which is said to have taken place in a sweet shop in Mangas Verdes. The victims are three girls aged 4 years, 6 years and 7 years.
On Friday, the accused were ordered to be detained in custody at Alhaurín de la Torre prison but within hours of entering jail they were attacked by three other inmates. One of the men suffered a gash to the head which required three stitches, the other suffered various cuts and bruises.
The attack was seen by prison guards and although they managed to break up the fight very quickly, they apparently couldn’t prevent the two men being injured. The perpetrators of the attack were subsequently sent to solitary confinement.
