Manuel Chaves has been re-elected for a fifth consecutive term as secretary general of the PSOE in Andalucía.
The elections took place in Granada and Manuel Chaves received 97.1% of the votes cast by the delegates at the XI Regional Congress. He was, in fact, the only candidate, so the result will come as little surprise.
During his speech, Chaves acknowledged that the economy was in crisis but reaffirmed his pledge of full employment in Andalucía by 2013.
