A seven year old girl died yesterday in the swimming pool of the Hotel Playa Cálida in Almuñécar.
The incident happened at around 14:30 yesterday afternoon. The Emergency Services were called to the hotel but could do nothing to save the life of the young girl. The mother of the girl was taken to hospital suffering from shock.
This is apparently not the first case of drowning in the pool of the Hotel Playa Cálida, which is located on the Paseo de Velilla.
