Two people drowned on the beaches of Málaga yesterday, one in the city and one in Marbella.
A 60 year old man died yesterday at Peñón del Cuervo beach in Málaga city. The man had been out on a boat with some friends and had decided to take a swim. According to the reports, he then suffered a shortage of breath and subsequently died from drowning.
The second incident occurred at Calabella beach in Marbella where a man, believed to be foreign and aged around 40 years, was found floating in the water. Efforts to revive him proved futile. An autopsy is being carried out to try and ascertain the exact cause of death.
