Rafael Nadal, seemingly unstoppable at the moment, clinched the Toronto Masters with a 6-3. 6-2 win over the unseeded Nicolas Kiefer.
Nadal has now won 29 matches in a row and collected 5 trophies in succession. He is now only 300 behind Roger Federer and has every chance of becoming World Numero Uno. That could happen next week in Cincinnati if Nadal wins and Federer loses before the semi-finals, or in August when both players drop points from one year ago.
Federer is set to lose the 850 points for reaching the Toronto final last year and winning in Cincinnati, Nadal will only lose 230 points. It could be all-change unless Federer gets back on form.
