Guardia Civil officers in Chiclana, Cádiz, have this morning intercepted a boat carrying 20 illegal immigrants.
The boat was trying to reach Novo Sancti Petri beach near the Hotel las Dunas when it was intercepted by the Guardia Civil. The passengers included two pregnant women and one child. Two of the other males on board the five metre wooden boat are undergoing tests as it is thought they could also be minors.
The Red Cross gave them the once-over and all were found to be in good health. They are now being held ready for repatriation to their country of origin, in this case Morocco.
