The Junta de Andalucía has clarified its support for the construction of a golf course in Nerja.
The Junta de Andalucía has stated that their support for the construction of a golf course in the La Colladilla area of Nerja is subject to a total amendment of the original draft supplied by the company Medgroup.
They say that the original initiative proposed by Medgroup relates to an area which, under the POT, is now protected land, and would have a negative environmental impact. The project as it is, for a golf course, 800 homes and a hotel is, they add, totally unworkable.
However, in view of changes to legislation relating to golf courses, the Junta de Andalucía suggests that a promoter could raise a new project providing it conforms to the latest regulations imposed and is submitted for study by the Ministries of Tourism, Environment and Housing and complies with the Plan Ordenación del Territorio.
Sounds simple enough!
