Marine Rescue and Guardia Civil Officers rescued a group of ten Algerians who were drifting in their small boat about 25 miles off Cabo de Gata, Almería.
The small craft was first spotted by a merchant vessel early last night. The occupants, all adult male Algerians, were taken to Almería port where the Red Cross gave them the once-over and pronounced them fit and healthy.
They are now enjoying the hospitalty of the National Police before being given the order of the boot and sent back from whence they came.
