A Swissair plane on its way from Zurich to Málaga had to make an emergency landing in Geneva due to a bomb threat.
The plane, an Airbus A321, was flying over France when it had to turn back and make an emergency landing at Geneva airport. This was at 15:05 local time yesterday.
The passengers were evacuated from the plane via the emergency chutes and investigators then began the process of checking for any explosive devices.
The airport runway was closed for about an hour and a half and flights were diverted to the French city of Lyon.
The bomb alert was as the result of a phone call, from Spain, which specifically referred to that flight.
