An 18 year old construction worker died yesterday in Nerja following a fall from a building along the Rio Seco.
The accident happened at around 13:00 yesterday while the youth, intials C.C.E., was working on a swimming pool in the Barranco de El Puerto area along the Rio Seco. For reasons as yet unknown, he fell from a height of three metres, suffering severe head injuries and dying almost instantly.
The Labour Inspectorate are investigating the incident but it is known that there were no security measures in place at the site and that the youth was neither wearing a safety harness nor protective headgear.
