A total of 19 illegal immigrants, including a young girl, were intercepted in the early hours of this morning along the Cádiz coast. One of the boats was also carrying 173 kilos of hashish. They are the ‘high’ seas after all.
The first boat was detected just before midnight last night and when it landed near the Trafalgar lighthouse in Barbate, the Guardia Civil duly detained the passengers. On board the wooden boat were 6 men, three women, a young girl and 173 kilos of hashish.
The second boat, also detected just before midnight, was intercepted by the Guardia Civil about four miles south of Punta Acebuche. On board were 8 Pakistanis and 1 Moroccan, all adult males.
