Six Moroccans were intercepted in the early hours of this morning as they paddled a toy boat towards Punta Acebuche. Despite being in a toy boat and having paddled all the way from Morocco, the six were said to be in good health.
They are now being held at the police station in Algeciras awaiting repatriation.
Fourteen North Africans were picked up this morning about 4 miles southeast of Garrucha, Almería. The occupants were all adults and in apparent good health.
Thirty sub-Saharans have had to be rescued from their dodgy boat about nine miles from the port of Adra. The passengers include women and children.
