The Guardia Civil has arrested the man believed to have carried out the stabbing of Senegalese Ousmane Kote on September 6th, an incident which provoked several days of rioting in the town of Roquetas de Mar.
Twenty-six year old Juan José O.N. was found hiding in a cortijo in the La Cañada district of the capital, an area with few inhabitants and where access is difficult.
Early reports suggest that Juan José O.N. did not take part in the initial dispute in which Ousmane Kote intervened but joined at a much later stage, kicking him in the head when he was on the floor and then delivering the fatal stab wound.
Ousmane Kote, who was unmarried, was the oldest of five brothers and, as firstborn, was continuing the tradition of coming to Spain to earn money to send back to his family.
