Howick, a suburb of Manakau city on New Zealand’s north island, has just issued its latest set of stamps. Very nice too. In 2002, Howick village became one of the first towns to be allowed to issue its own stamps following an agreement with the national postal service. However, this first issue did not quite go according to plan, and the first batch of 20,000 stamps were printed with the glue on the front!
