Andalucía has another three solar energy plants, including one in Lucainena de las Torres which becomes the largest such facility in Europa.
In Lucainena de las Torres, the company Asset has invested €140 million in the construction of the solar park, and area of 60 hectares which will generate 21.5 megawatts of electricity, enough to power 10,000 homes.
In Isla Mayor, Sevilla, the company Solarpack is using photovoltaic cells to produce 8.4 megawatts of electricity, enough to cover 90% of local domestic consumption.
In Jaén, the solar plant ‘Olivares’ is a 9.1 megawatt facility built by Solar Jiennense and Bergé Generación and will produce sufficient electricity to cover 3,100 households.
