At the initial court appearance of Hicham B, the 29 year old Moroccan accused of killing 25 year old Cecilia Natalia Coria Olivares on the Balcón de Europa on Sunday morning once again admitted to the crime.
It appears that Hicham B was first denounced for aggression and harassment in August 2007 and a restraining order was issued by the court. The implementation of such orders is the responsibility of the Local Police.
Three months later, the accused once again began his threats and harassment and was denounced for a second time. Appearing in court on charges of breach of restraining order, he was sentenced to one year in prison and the restraining order was extended for a further two years.
The third denuncia against the accused was made on Saturday, just hours before Cecilia Natalia was fatally stabbed. Worried by threats, she asked the Local Police to accompany her to her home that evening. The following morning, she was attacked and killed.
Cecilia Natalia had also apparently sought help from the Ayuntamiento, including pschological help, as a result of anxiety caused her by her former boyfriend who, she related, had constantly breached the restraining order.
Hicham B has now been transferred to Alhaurín de la Torre prison.
