Two bodies were found yesterday in a cortijo near Puntalón, Granada, in what appears to be yet another case of domestic violence with fatal consequences.
The man, a 51 year old former Guardia Civil officer working as a security guard in Almería, is thought to have killed his wife and then committed suicide.
The woman, the second wife of the former Guardia Civil officer, worked in El Ejido hospital. She was found with her feet bound with insulating tape and had four cuts to the neck, shoulder, arm and leg caused by a power tool. She had made several complaints against her husband for mistreatment and abuse.
The couple had three children aged between 12 years and 17 years and the man had two other children from his previous marriage.
