National Police officers have seized over one ton of hashish and arrested three people in Cadíz province as part of ‘Operación Tasnim’.
The operation began in June and ended with the seizure of 1,340 kilos of hashish on a beach near Línea de la Concepción. Two of those arrested, a father and son, are said to be the leaders of the smuggling organisation which brought drugs into Spain from Morocco. The father and son are Spanish nationals, the third detainee is Moroccan.
Meanwhile, a small-scale operation in Barcelona has led to the detention of 18 people, aged between 16 years and 52 years, and the seizure of 310 grams of cocaine. More than 70 officers of the Mossos d’Esquadra raided nine apartments, a shoe shop, a dress shop and an internet café in Berga and Vic.
Seventeen of the detainees are Moroccan, the eighteenth is a Spaniard.
