King Juan Carlos has inaugurated the new Heineken factory in the Torreblanca district of Sevilla, described by the company as ‘the best factory in the world’.
The factory covers an area of 63 hectares, has a power station producing enough energy to cover a population of 45,000, a capacity to produce five million hectolitres of beer and has generated over 2,000 jobs either directly or indirectly.
The facility, started in 2005, cost in the region of €320 million.
